“Men are born soft and supple; dead they are stiff and hard. Plants are born tender and pliant; dead, they are brittle and dry. Thus whoever is stiff and inflexible is a disciple of death. Whoever is soft and yielding is a disciple of life. The hard and stiff will be broken. The soft and supple will prevail.”

Welcome back Melting Billy Readers,
The interlude was shorter than I expected.
I actually had plans to take the entire website down, and had been mulling over it for a couple of weeks.
Then I realised, I was actually missing the Melting Billy.
I couldn’t take it down.

I figured life should never get so busy that we no longer ‘have time’ for the things that matter the most. Setting time aside for cultivating our art and our spirit is just as essential as providing a roof and some daily bread.
So here we are again.
Morning light, dolerite cliffs. Pentax MX, Ilford Delta 100, March 2020.
This time I make no promises to myself or anyone that a post will go out every week. But when a post goes out it will be because I actually have some creative content that I wish to share with you.
I figured I didn’t need to stop writing the posts completely just because I am no longer able to create a new post every week.
For now I will be cycling through the archives of my photography as I haven’t been on any trips recently. I will try and dig up some photos that I haven’t actually shared yet.
Please share the Melting Billy with your friends, family and anyone you think may enjoy receiving the now non-weekly Melting Billy post.
